New Nikon DSLR Kits…August 13, 2015
Limited Service 24th-28th AugustAugust 21, 2015
Its the time of year when the photo studio gets a face lift, the flashguns come out and the model table is removed to allow for portraits. Its long been a tradition here in the SSoA to take a professional portrait of each new student and staff member. Going back at least 50 years, this archive of the people who have spent their time here is an invaluable asset to our history and a great resource for embarrassing some of our more senior academics who studied here many year ago.
In truth, and with enough spare time, we will shoot the portrait of anyone with ties to the SSoA as its always great to get practice in and hone our technique. The featured image here was lit by 3 Dedolight LED 40w lamps, with a Bowens 125 flash bulb for fill and catch (the light reflected in the eye). The camera was a Nikon D7200 with a 35mm F1.8 lens @ F5.6.
